 My Stay in Costa Blanca

My stay in Costa Blanca

WHEN we had our European-wide conference here in Spain two months ago, I decided to stay in Costa Blanca for two weeks to get a feel for the place. I chose Costa Blanca because I had heard during the sidelines of the conference that I attended that this is a good place to visit. I had heard that there were lots of naturist beaches here although unfortunately, I’m not one so I could not enjoy the sight that everybody else wishes to see. I’m too shy to go commando, you know.

Anyhow, I had heard that Costa Blanca is not really the name of the place but it was baptized that way by the tourism folks here in Spain to underscore the vastness of the rich coastline in Alicante province where Costa Blanca is located. Costa Blanca in Spanish means blank coastline. I don’t know whether that’s precise or not but I’m British, not Spanish. I’m British and I’m enjoying the hospitality and beauty of the place.

If you come from another European country or from the United States mainland, it’s easy to come here in Costa Blanca. First, you log in to any reputable online travel agency like Expedia or Travelocity. Then search for any vacant hotel in Costa Blanca. These travel agencies have actually hundreds of hotels around the world that serve as their contacts. They do not just maintain contacts in the capitals of the world but also in almost all tourism-induced cities even as far as Zanzibar or Timbuktu. Of course, their rates don’t come cheap because vacationing to other parts of the world is not exactly for the affluent but for those who can afford to lay back and relax.

Costa Blanca is composed of the cities of Denia, Costa de Valencia, Torrevieja, Costa Calida and Benidorm. I’m currently billeted at Sheraton Real de Faula Golf Resort and Spa. And since I want to be thrift, I’m just having myself the grand deluxe room at only $295 a night. Of course, if you’re staying here longer, you can negotiate with hotel management for a much lower price especially if you’re indicating to come back here in the near future. And I’m not lying. I’ll definitely be coming back here maybe six months from now once I’ll have my two months vacation leave. Isn’t life that great? If you want to improve your Spanish and work for a good cause, you can be Volunteer in Costa Rica.

Of course, I’ll be coming back. In the one month that I have stayed here in Costa Blanca, I have met somebody and fell in love with. Her name is Grace and she’s like the pretty girl from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift that I got a crush on. Grace is a very exotic type of person and I think she exudes the Spanish persona – the shy but graceful type. Not one moment back in Notting Hill where I reside have I met such a girl as exhilarating as her. When I met her, I have concluded that Spain is indeed populated with the most beautiful women in the planet.
